Cousins 4-ever!

Char loves Baby Silas. The other day she asked me, "can he be my boy?"

Josie's Birthday, Part 2

It's been a while but here are some pictures from Josie's party.

She got shy when everybody sang to her.

Her new favorite activity: "playing chalks"

Josie's Birthday, Part 1

We had some visitors from Virgina here to celebrate with us. Here are Grandpa Jim and Grandma Carlene with all three of their grandkids! Josie got to "Build a Bear" on her big day.

She dressed her in color coordinated fashions and named her Janison.

Here's the girl helping me make her cake.

It was Daisy she wanted and Daisy she got.

Party pictures still to come... I need to get those pictures off of Grandma and Grandpa V's camera.

HGTV will you hire me?

Over the past couple months we've had a family project going on... a house for my brother Hans and my niece Charlotte. I was able to help with color selections, painting, laying tile and decorating. Here are the results. The music accompanying the pictures is done by my brother-in-law Calvin Locklear. I hope it's not an insult to his music to pair it with my cheesy video production but this way all of the big name recording execs who check this blog will be able to hear him and offer him a million dollar contract!

Easter

Both kids were sick so we ended up missing our main service for Easter. I thought it would be a bad idea to bring two sick kids out in the cold in the middle of the night. We did go to the service on Sunday afternoon and enjoyed some of the festivities. This is what Good Friday looked like for us.

This illustrates the holiday for Silas pretty well. Poor guy, you can tell he's not feeling well.

I couldn't get this girl to hold still for a picture that morning.

Here she is in her pretty dress that afternoon.

There was an egg hunt after the Sunday afternoon service. Here's Josie holding her basket of eggs... and sneezing.

At our Church the kids are encouraged to ring the bells during the week after Easter to celebrate Christ's resurrection. I love this picture that Bleys took.
